In a culture that has grown increasingly restless with the status quo, and in a global society that is slowly waking up to their own personal and collective strength, Emergent’s arrival in the music scene couldn’t have happened at a better time. Heavy yet hauntingly melodic, Emergent has a sound that sets itself apart from the monotony that clogs today’s airwaves. An unrelentingly energetic and inspiring live show, coupled with a message that resonates with the masses, Emergent is steadily building a movement that is sure to turn even the most stubborn of heads.

Rising out of the ashes of former prominent Minneapolis-based rock bands, Aaron Dahl (vocals), Matt Burke (drums), Jamal Carlson (bass), Pete Angelo (guitar) and Gary Pahl (guitar) set off to put together a music project that was built to crush right out of the gate. As demos and pre-production tracks started making their rounds, a serious buzz was audibly sweeping through the midwest music scene. Emergent made their Minneapolis debut in August of 2012 to a near capacity crowd at the legendary Triple Rock Social Club. The response was so explosive that only a month later, Emergent was playing to a sold out crowd at the historic First Avenue night club with rock heavyweights Chevelle. 2013 was an incredible year for the band as the momentum continued to mount. First was the nationwide fan-driven contest from Gigg.com to play the Rock the River Festival. Emergent beat out hundreds of bands from around the country and earned a spot on the main stage with acts like Skillet and POD. Next was the massively popular Rockzilla Battle of the Bands, in which Emergent took 1st place over 180 bands in a grueling 5 round competition. A huge cash prize helped the band release their highly anticipated debut album in November of 2013. With over 1,000 copies sold locally, the album was well received and has garnered support from local and national radio stations. The band continued to bolster their fanbase throughout 2014 by reaching out to regional markets and expanding on their success at home.

The future is looking incredibly bright, and the movement shows no signs of slowing. With their next album slated for an early 2015 summer release, Emergent is preparing for the next phase in their evolution.
